Edit: They are finished now! About 2.5 hours. Thank you Jes Mellen for the assist. I’ll have some photos of the whole set finished soon. Check back

Holiday cards for 2009 are now under way. This is a vector of an ornament that I am in the process of making. I’m taking a new approach this year compared to the last couple. I’m working on combining some vector art, photography, and the finalizing the whole thing on the letterpress. I just have to find some envelopes now.

Here is a spread in my final project for Corporate Identity. We started the semester picking companies to design logos for. We ended the semester making something (a few somethings actually) to bring it all together as if it was really going to happen and show an example of our new branding.
I decided to do Gamestop, and finish the semester with a “Gamestop 2.0 Report” so not an annual report, but more of a commercial trade show brochure about the changes that would be happening at Gamestop and why. Including a letter from the CEO, some charts, new store interior design, new gift cards, iPhone app and this world map showing Gamestop’s worldwide store count and overall growth since 2006.
More later.

I love photocopiers and scanners. I did this in 2004 or 2005 sometime and just found it. Maybe I’ll find a use for the technique someday.

Finished calendar top.
Finished calendar all:

Nevermind the image distortion, for some reason the internet compresses the picture I uploaded for whatever reason. Email me if you are interested in the PDF.

working on a calendar for December 2010 for a class. I’ll post it later, but for right now I am making all of the letters and numbers like this.

New photography up on my Flickr. I took most of them last month. I’m behind on updating any of it. Autumn is quite possibly my favorite time of year. This last October was pretty tough to get out and do stuff though. I missed the leaves changing, and every time I went to a farm it was soaking wet or raining. I won’t miss next year though. Do or die.

More changes to the site. Updated with a more friendly/fun background. I also added a couple extra pages so you can see that when you roll over and click any of the buttons they get a glossy/highlighted look to them.

The first image is the landing page of the site. You see it when you are first arriving at the site. Once you click out of it, you do not see it again. I wanted to have a quick and simple introduction to what NEXTguide is all about. The text reads: “Your number one source for clarity in the world of Next Generation Vehicles”

The second page is called “NGV” shorthand for Next Generation Vehicle (my term). The idea is to explain the difference between and also clarify what technologies are in NGVs. Each of the icons on the side would be clickable and populate in the center field. This section explains about the differences contextually and some additional information about these “fuel” types.

On the last page labeled “contact” you would have some contact information for NEXTguide, but also information about the iPhone. Since I do not have the means to produce it, I simply decided to add information about the proposed iPhone app and where you could learn a little more about it on the site. Ideally if I was to produce it, it would function the same as the site on the iPhone, but the Flash components that wouldn’t work on Safari would be usable in the app.

More soon.
