Carol and John’s Comic Shop - Series 1 Cards

I apologize for my lack of attention to this blog lately. I recently wrapped up a class that took place after the semester about wine tasting (Which everyone should take) and have been working full time at Flourish.

On the side though I have been working on the deck of trading cards for Carol and John’s Comic Shop that I originally produced for a class last school year. I took a portion of the deck to the shop recently and have won the approval to produce an entire deck of cards specifically on the history of the store. I am only making two decks of the cards (on for the shop and another for the store manager). Maybe later I can find a place to print and cut them accurately double sided for a fair price and the shop can sell them, but that has to get worked out with them first.

The plan for the first series of cards is to start with the store’s origins to 2006 when they moved to a new location. Then, a second series of cards would be developed later using the events that the store hosts and other changes starting with 2007. The details on that are still in development, but I am excited to make the cards the way I originally intended for them to be.
