Someone help this guy get this App created! Ever since I have had my iPhone sitting at my side at all times, I’ve been trying to think of what the perfect App would be for designers. What a designer could actually take advantage of daily, or at least “often” has been the debate. I concluded that something that could integrate with the software and hardware we already use would be perfect. Then I come across “iFast” a mock up of a fantastic idea that utilizes the touch screen interface to become the tool palette!

He we are, part of our jobs is to keep up with technology and create useful and functional designs/interfaces/wayfinding/websites/etc yet the “designer” App that is out there is “What The Font” and it’s not entirely that helpful. It is more of a “hey guys look what I can do on my iPhone” kind of App than anything else.

I think there needs to be something that designers and other creative professionals can get together and work with programmers and other technically affluent people to build better and more creative applications for the iPhone/iPod Touch interfaces. What do you think?
