Working on my final website for Kinetic and Sequential. It is going to end up being a hybrid site made in Illustrator, assembled in Dreamweaver and using Flash components. The entire semester we have been working towards making a website about a theme we chose back in the first few weeks.
Mine (for those of you who have been paying attention and those who have not) is about moving away from gasoline internal combustion engines. For the site, I invented a company called NEXTguide who’s goal is to be the go to place to provide some clarity on all of the possible next generation vehicles (NGV) someone could potentially purchase (ie: hybrids, electric, biodiesel, etc). The idea is that this site will clarify the differences, explain a bit about how they work, compare stats of available automobiles and have a clarification guide of some of the common misconceptions and myths about NGVs.
If this were to be a real site (and not just a prototype for class) I’d love to make the entire thing in Flash and actually have a corresponding iPhone App that provides all of this information. That way people interested in purchasing an NGV do not having to be swayed by the salesmen/women and instead can have a wealth of unbias information at their fingertips while at the dealership.
This is a close up of my design sketch phase. Feedback is always appreciated.
Work in progress. Full site later.
