new job this fall
Brain Buirge (http://www.brianbuirge.com/) who I know through Jes Mellen and Britt Spano, offered me a job just the other day working for USS on campus in their design department. I sort of took the job not knowing what I’m going to be doing, but Britt assures me that I’ll be getting paid more and Brian says that I’ll be able to use the stuff I make in my portfolio so that should be pretty nice. My co-worker Pete at the KSU Apple Store helped me get the job since Brain and another guy working there are both graduating and need someone to take their place.
I am now about 2/3 of the way through my Sophomore Portfolio Review which is refreshing to know. I’ve spent the last couple of days completely organizing, rebuilding, remounting and preparing my entire portfolio of all of the work I have done since I started here at KSU. It was a lot of work, and I owe thanks to Jes for helping me keep focused and getting things done.
Today I took my illustration in class exam and had to draw five objects and render them within two and half hours, luckily I finished a little early and then dropped off my portfolio. I wish I would have spent a little more time on my composition, but over all I feel pretty good about finishing it today.

Tomorrow is the design exam though, so we’ll see how that turns out. Till then.
