“viral”
The term “viral” for marketing is kind of cheesy. Its time to move on.
I have no suggestions, but I am sick of “buzzwords”
Here is a short list to not use:
- viral
- UGC/User Generated Content
- Millennial/Gen Y/Echo Boomers/etc
- social networking
There are better ways to communicate ideas than throwing around generic categories. I am not a business major, but as a designer it is my job to understand this, culture and things within the business world as well.
Word of advice:
“Your terminology turns people off to your products.”
Apple, Target, and the other companies you are attempting to emulate understand this, its one of the major reasons you feel you are playing catchup with your target demographics. It is time to fine a way to not alienate your consumers with tacky buzzwords.
That goes for you too media.
